BERLIN WALL by WEE FLOWERS

1999 Wee Flowers painted 3 pieces of the Berlin Wall at Potsdamer Platz.
Her painting with the inscription "Can I Stay?" remained unanswered,

the pieces were dismantled and seemed lost.

But during the last years, the pieces reappeared, one after the other.....

PIECE #1 REAPPEARED IN SCHENGEN

 

The first one was ceremoniusly uncovered during the inauguration of the museum in Schengen (Luxemburg) as a symbol for fallen frontiers.
 

PIECE #1 REAPPEARED IN VERDUN


The middle piece of „Can I Stay“ is now part of the Centre Mondial de la Paix (World Peace Centre) in Verdun.
 

PIECE #1 REAPPEARED IN KIEW


The last piece was part of Googles "25th anniversary of the Berlin Wall" documentary in 2014. It has been found in Kiew.
